My Qualifications

  • Aircraft Structural Maintenance

    • I served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Structural Maintenance Engineer/Technician, where I received rigorous training at the Naval Air Technical Training Center at Naval Air Station Pensacola. The technical education was exacting and thorough, but it was the on-the-job training at my duty station that truly refined my skills. There, my body became a machine.. that turned raw metal into.. precisely crafted and meticulously reproduced components. This experience shaped my eye for detail and instilled in me a relentless drive for continuous improvement—qualities that have remained central to my work ever since.

  • Guitar Tech at Guitar Center

    • This retailer often gets a bad rep, but that only motivated me to build a reputation centered on quality work. During my years there, I worked on over 10,000 guitars—ranging from customer-owned instruments to store inventory and warranty repairs from manufacturers. I became a trusted resource for musicians looking to care for their beloved instruments. The wide variety of brands, specs, year ranges, and outlandish repair challenges gave me invaluable experience. Along the way, I earned the trust of many customers who continue to work with me privately, and I’m grateful to have formed lifelong friendships with many of them.

  • Guitar Builder

    • I worked for a guitar company for several years. I’m confident in saying that the praise this brand receives for its exceptional quality, setups, and wiring is a direct result of my contributions. In the early years of my term, I was responsible for receiving shipments, cataloguing and addressing quality control issues, photographing defects, managing inventory, and shipping guitars. During this time, 2020 through most of 2022, the owner was not involved in day-to-day operations. The main operations of these duties fell on another Luthier and myself. Eventually after 2022, I was given the opportunity to lead the Quality Control department, where I trained several technicians to identify and resolve issues. At this company we also ghost built several other brand guitars. Thanks to the care I took in ensuring each guitar left the facility in optimal condition, many musicians now have instruments that not only play beautifully but are ones they will cherish for a lifetime.

A rate of $30 per guitar for the quality control process, fixing and/or adjusting the guitar to your standards. Comprehensive Quality Control reporting also included.

For receiving, unloading pallets, unboxing, re-boxing and bringing guitars to USPS/UPS/Fedex.* This 

I look forward to working with you. I am excited to collaborate and learn from each other. All my fees are negotiable to fit your business model. I want this to make sense for both of us. I thoroughly enjoy the idea of import guitars that are really affordable. I would love to get hands on at least one of these guitars during these provisional stages to see how, if at all, I can improve them. When quality work meets reasonable pricing, you have a recipe for success.

*Run meaning intake of all guitars for a given shipment. A Run could be a palette of 20-60 guitars, more or less. It is a flat fee for intaking a shipment, organizing them in my shop and shipping them out. It is not a per guitar fee.
